Prayers to bring Sgt. Bowe, of Idaho home. It is hope that leadership seeks to assist his escape, and return to his family.

Preacher, we're glad you like the site and will post something for Wounded Warriors on this one as well (with Mr. "McV" OK, that is). Again, thanks for the response and visiting ... OOORAH and Semper Fi! ("Honor-Courage-Commitment" ... to ALL!). To all others, poster Skinner has requested everyone's support and participation by writing to your political "representatives." Please take him up on his invitation - your help is invaluable.

Please phone your representative and ask for their support in cosponsoring H. Res. 111. As a family member of a former VietNam MIA, I ask that you after you visit this site, phone congress and be the voice of the missing.

While I maintain the view that medals and flags are only symbols, to many they are more than that. Rightfully so. Flags, emblems and medals are a convenient means of communicating a message in that crucial, few seconds of another person's attention. There is an issue with a group from the upper Midwest who is using one of those symbols against the wishes of one of those organizations: The National League of POW/MIA Families. This group has been working long, hard and feverishly for over 40 years(!) to ensure that 1) POW-MIAs are not insensitively brushed aside like lost cargo and, 2) that POW-MIAs, their loved ones and friends have closure by returning those heroes to their Country, the USA. For this drug group (again, in my view, marijuana IS a drug, although in CERTAIN cases it may serve its purpose as a superficial medicinal application) to ignore the requests of this humanitarian organization, National League of POW/MIA Families, to stop using the POW-MIA logo (including flags, banners, emblems, etc) is not only rude, insensitive and disrespectful (of FELLOW Americans, btw!) but, ultimately, self-serving and unethical. As a Marine Viet Nam combat Veteran, I am reaching out to this individual that is at the forefront of this drug organization (Weed for Veterans) requesting that person to do the honorable thing - cease and desist from using the POW-MIA logo, the modification thereof and any related emblems, etc. As the editor said on this web site, as Marines we should all carry forward with us one of the Marine Corps' most highly valued mottoes: "Honor, Courage, Commitment." IF you (Weeds for Veterans) are a Marine Veteran, you should know well that those words have a volume of meaning behind them. Do the right thing ... it isn't helping your image one bit.

I agree with homeless vets statement we need to not forget or ignore our homeless vets. They are all around us, and they are us. Some of us have money families and property. We are still missing in action, some of us still not really here. Nor we will ever be. We have a bond that civilians can not relate to. When we connect it is forever and we do what ever it takes to help our Brothers. speaking for myself I can say as I try to assist I am connected again to being in country and it hurts when we are not able to help, it feels a little easier to breathe when help is secured. Please note all the dates listed for the Stand down Orange county standdown Aug 17 18 19 location will be posted ASAP.

Read the article about Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl under the "News & Events" section of USAPOWMIA.net. Very interesting, especially for those who may have had or DO have doubts about Bergdahl's intentions. However, the longer he stays in captivity the stronger the chances of the "Helsinki Syndrome" taking affect. 3 years is a damned long time! Get involved, there's a government employee's name at the bottom of the article who we can contact (USPS mail is most effective!). Additionally, scribble (or type, if your patient enough!) a letter to your State Representatives. Whatever you do, PLEASE get behind this one and ... let's leave no one behind. Also, the following is a link I discovered for Bowe BergdahlL www.supportbowe.org

I agree with Zspring, but as you drop everything you are doing to help the POW/MIA - don't forget about the homeless veteran who lives on the streets just miles away from your front door. This veteran has been MIA since he returned to the USA. He is homeless, hungry and without medical care. He does not trust the government or those who join groups. He may appear a little bizarre. He probably drinks and uses drugs to attempt to drown out the noise and pain of Vietnam. He has major trust issues. Don't forget about this veteran. Please drop what you are doing and help these veterans NOW. The next Orange County Stand Down is scheduled for August 17, 18 and 19th. Help our Homeless Veterans.

FINALLY. A web site that brings to light the plight of our Men and Women in uniform who have not made it home from defending our nation. We need to drop what we are doing and do everything we can to get them home RIGHT NOW!
